@herna22, if you want solutions, The Secret of Oz gives you SOLUTIONS!! We did NOT always have federal reserve notes. We used to have greenbacks and our money used to be backed up by gold/silver. Of course money is debt. What else could it be? Even if Government is the only issuer of money it is still debt. It is debt the government owes to holder of the money. You cannot eat money. Even Gold has little intrinsic value.
